About Us
Day Care Centre
Social isolation and loneliness are challenges faced by many groups. At Mid-Lin, we support adults and older people who are affected by a degree of physical or mental disability and are experiencing social isolation. Mid-Lin aims to promote independence, privacy, choice, dignity and safety, to support the people who use our services to be part of the wider community.
Through the provision of a homely, therapeutic environment and carefully planned, stimulation activities we aim to promote the maintenance of daily living skills while contributing to rehabilitation and providing respite for carers. We work closely alongside other professionals from a range of sectors to promote independent living within the community.
Mid-Lin Day Care is a small independent charity and company limited by guarantee situated within Linlathen, Dundee.
We provide support to adults and older people who experience social isolation and loneliness and are affected by a degree of physical or mental disability. Our objectives are to promote social inclusion and alleviate social isolation and loneliness for adults and older people. We provide activities and opportunities that support people to maintain their independent living skills and promote social interaction. By working closely with other professionals from a range of settings we aim to provide holistic care to people who use our services while promoting choice and dignity at all times. The provision of this care also supports those who are carers for a loved one, by providing respite.
All of our activities are designed to provide stimulation and positive experiences. This can increase confidence and an overall sense of positive well-being for people who use the day service. A nutritious three course meal is also provided within our day services.
