SOCIALISE
Promoting Social Inclusion
Our warm and friendly environment offers plenty of opportunities for people who use our services to create and nurture friendships with their peers. The skilled and friendly staff and volunteers offer opportunity for interaction throughout the day.

Many of the activities provided in the centre promote social inclusion and interaction such as our reminiscence and life story work. We also have regular opportunities for friendly and fun singalongs with some of our live entertainers. There are plenty of chances to chat over lunch or during tea and coffee breaks
STIMULATE
Supporting Physical & Mental Exercise
At Mid-Lin, we believe that physical and mental stimulation is vital to maintaining our health and well-being as we age.
Mid-Lin are dedicated to encouraging and promoting movement. Activities are designed to meet this in a number of ways. There are regular opportunities to dance, participate in gardening, going for walks and floor games. We also have regular opportunities to participate in seated exercise.
If that wasn't enough, we offer regular activities to participate in trips around our local area visiting the V and A, McManus Galleries and many of our local coffee shops!
Of course, mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation. Our activities are also designed to get our brains working hard. There are regular quizzes, prize bingo and dominoes. We also offer a range of art and craft activities.
NUTRITION
Inspire Healthy Eating
At Mid-Lin we understand the importance of nutrition, especially for older people. We provide a nutritious three course meal, prepared daily onsite as part of our support. We cater for individual dietary requirements. In the afternoon, light snacks and refreshments are also provided.
As part of our activities programme, we also provide opportunities to cook and bake or to participate in our fun taster days. These activities offer the opportunity to explore new foods or reminisce about foods from the past.
All of our activities are designed to provide stimulation and positive experiences. This can increase confidence and an overall sense of positive well-being for people who use the day service. A nutritious three course meal is also provided within our day services.
